We’re only a month away from the clocks going forward and the evenings getting lighter again, and that means we’re on the cusp of the Spring Summer season for lingerie trends. There are many hot new and innovative designs to choose from and, as always, we only source the highest quality materials and styles. There’s something for everyone this year, so let us guide you through the new themes.
The Godmother
Black is a simple colour that can work in combination with almost anything. The Marie Jo Rose and Aubade Pulp Seduction ranges make black sexy with sheer embroidery and a sensual laser cut flat lace, respectively. You can also make black work on holiday with the Marlies Dekkers Paris Texas range that uses strap detail and rhinestones on the cups to create a subtly seductive look.
Sorbet Shades
These Satin-based ranges are set to become the ‘new’ pastels. Already being displayed on a number of Spring Summer catwalks, they’re a beautiful trend featuring many attractive colours. The Huit Malicieuse and Lejaby Heritage ranges have a vintage 1930s feel, whilst the Rigby & Peller Seta and the Lejaby Doceur Retro ranges continue the theme. Colours include pinks, peaches, lilacs and blues for a great summer flavour.
Floral Fever
Floral prints are always popular in the summer, and the Prima Donna Twist Teatime range features small and dainty patterns. Many of the colour schemes are of a paler variety, consisting primarily of pinks, peaches and lilacs. The Marie Jo Camille range incorporates rose buds into its embroidery-based designs, with desirable and beautiful results.
Jewel Tones
Nothing says exotic summer like a Caribbean beach scene, and a host of tropical colours and climes inspire the designs in these ranges. Marie Jo Jane and Prima Donna Kensington feature hot pink, and Prima Donna Alexandrie conjure up images of unspoilt island paradise with their deep turquoise schemes. Aubade also touches on far east themes this year with their Obi-inspired waist cincher and vibrant embroidery.
Snow White
White is another popular colour in the warmer months with its fresh and simple design versatility. It can be made interesting with tone on tone embroidery, as is evident in the Marie Jo Jane and Lejaby La Garconne ranges. Empreinte Lily Rose and Rigby & Peller Vintage, on the other hand, use white to contrast and highlight an already pearly grey colour scheme.
Bridal Underwear
A collection of ranges ideal for brides has been collected for the months when weddings are most popular. Predominantly consisting of traditional ivory themes, there are many options to choose from. With beautiful styles trimmed with lace and ribbons in mind, Simone Perele Avant Premiere has produced a range of strapless bras, and Marie Jo Fiona offer a selection of basques. The main bridal item though is the special ruffle strap bra and bottom brief from Rigby & Peller Vintage.
