Expectation: Fit has always has been of
paramount importance to the Queen’s corsetière.
Now one of five branches, the flagship store is
familiar to many women thanks to TV
programmes such as What Not to Wear, and has
such a demand for its fitting service that this can
now be booked online. There is some hang and
sell at the front of the shop, but most of the stock
is kept in drawers at the back of the shop making
customer service key to any transaction.

Experience: On a Monday morning, chosen
to avoid the queues, I only wait five minutes
before a fitter greets me. She has fitted me before,
so I feel confident she will do a good job. She
judges my size by eye and finds a selection of
everyday bras I’d asked for. She then decides to
go up a cup size and I’m left with a choice of two
very comfortable bras I feel very happy wearing.

Verdict: An excellent and professional service.
My 20 minute trip saw me walk out having spent
£60 on a PrimaDonna bra. And not for the first time!
