Rigby & Peller Receive Best Shop Award
Underlines Magazine present new ‘Stars’ award to Conduit Street store. This weekend Rigby & Peller’s Conduit Street store was awarded the ‘Excellence and Special Recognition’ award for outstanding achievement. The store came top out of 5 finalists to win the award for ‘Excellence and Special Recognition’ for it’s unique identity, passionate and knowledgeable staff, and the fact that it stands a little aside from its competitors as aspirational in the industry.
This was the first edition of the Stars: Best Shop Awards, hosted by the lingerie and swimwear publication Underlines and designed to acknowledge the importance of independent retailers. The awards were aimed at lingerie, nightwear, swimwear and leg wear retailers and were nominated by a jury of 18 prestigious brands, including Anita, Fantasie, Lejaby, Panache and Moontide.
Rigby & Peller’s store at 22a Conduit Street was opened as flagship store in 1995. Since then, it has been providing a first class lingerie and swimwear fitting service to customers from all around the world. Buyer Nicky Clayton says: “We have a comprehensive product range and we like to think that there isn’t a lingerie problem we don’t have a solution for”. The store provides a one-on-one fitting service from a range of over 8000 bras and includes 8 spacious fitting rooms and luxurious seating area complete with chandelier. The award was presented to Director David Kenton, Chairman Maurice Miller and Store Manager Regina Kapinga at a ceremony held at Copthorne Hotel in Kensington. Regina Kapinga was delighted with the store’s achievement. She said: “It was the special award of the night and something to be proud of. One word –Magical!”
Rigby & Peller have 2 other stores in Knightsbridge and Brent Cross, and are looking forward to the opening of a new store on the Kings Road later this year.
